![]() To contact the ID card section, call (321) 494-6144 or email office is open from 8 a.m. It's really very little money for a lot of resources if you spend the time searching.Instructions for ID Card Renewal can be found on the 45th Force Support Squadron webpage. I'm not going to name names in fear of my beloved libraries shutting down nonresident cards, but I have them from 3 libraries: one that I pay (very little) for annually, one that had a (very low) one-time fee, and one that is free as a result of having a card at one of the the other places. Make note of those places and dive into their websites. Overdrive publishes a blog post every year with a list of libraries/library systems/consortiums that had more than 1 million digital checkouts that year. Just keep searching for a library that has the things you want, whether it be tons of ebooks, Linkedin Learning, Hoopla, Kanopy, language learning, Treehouse (coding lessons), Fiero Code, Udemy, or whatever else you need. Some will have the prices posted under "Get Library Card", some on their FAQ, some on their About page, some on their application forms, some under their Circulation Policy, some not at all, but there are lots of amazing libraries out there to choose from. Those Google search phrases will take you to the libraries themselves. Forget blog posts that regurgitate the same libraries over and over. has a significant library of ebooks (although usually not many copies of each). There are even one-time fee cards out there, although these libraries tend to be very small and underfunded, often even bereft of OverDrive. Google for phrases like "$10 non resident library card" or "$25 non resident library card" or "$50 non resident library card". ![]() But don't give in to the urge, just dedicate a few bucks a month to your reading pleasure and be legit. I'm not judging anyone as I found out about non-resident cards in the first place by buying a "lifetime Lynda account" on eBay. Libraries pay for their ebooks and other online resources through donations and taxes, and you are stealing their resources through very blatant, easy-to-catch, indefensible fraud. Don't do this, it's highly illegal and not worth it. I see some people getting e-cards by not (cough cough) spoofing their addresses. I'm on the same boat as OP, maybe even worse as my "state" is an island with no reciprocal privileges anywhere on the planet. ![]()
